In March 2015, the Movement of Life Uganda team launched a school gardening project at the St. Agnes Centre for Education in Mbarara town, located in the Western Region of Uganda. Led by Gyavira Mwesige, the project involves growing fruit trees, vegetables, and medicinal plants. Inspired by the Movement of Life’s ‘End Heart Disease: Plant a Fruit Tree’ campaign and enthusiastically supported by children, parents and teachers alike, over 1000 fruit trees have now been planted at the site and in the surrounding area.
Introduced by Gyavira Mwesige, this video features some of the children involved in the project and documents their experiences with it.
The Movement of Life campaign is coordinated by the Dr. Rath Health Foundation, a non-profit organization.
