Big Fat Lies

As this amusing and informative video explains, cholesterol is NOT the cause of heart disease.

To learn how heart attacks, strokes, high blood pressure, diabetes, and many other cardiovascular conditions can be prevented naturally, without drugs, read Dr. Matthias Rath’s classic book, Why Animals Don’t Get Heart Attacks…But People Do!

#2017Wittenberg: Liberation of Human Health

We live in historic times. Mankind is currently undertaking one of the great challenges in its history: the liberation of health from the yoke of a medical system driven by the pharmaceutical “business with disease”. Through learning about and using natural forms of medicine that eradicate diseases without causing harmful side effects, millions of people worldwide are improving their health and freeing themselves from the trillion dollar a year pharmaceutical industry and its toxic patented drugs.

500 years ago a similarly world-changing liberation took place: the liberation of the human mind. At that time, despite the relentless resistance of those in power at that time, millions of people in Europe learned to read and write. The liberation of the human mind ended its century-long slavery during medieval times and, as a result, gave birth to modern times.

To learn more about the way in which the liberation of our health today parallels the liberation of the human mind 500 years ago, visit the 2017wittenberg.org website. Better still, come and visit our exhibition in the grounds of the Alte Canzley Hotel in Wittenberg! (May – October 2017).

B Vitamins May Help With Schizophrenia

This video describes how researchers at the University of Manchester in the UK have found that adding high-dose B vitamins to traditional antipsychotic treatments reduces schizophrenia symptoms more than traditional treatments alone.

To learn more about studies showing how high-dose B vitamins reduce schizophrenia symptoms, read this article on the website of the Dr. Rath Health Foundation: Worldwide Studies Show High Dose B Vitamins Reduce Schizophrenia Symptoms

Watch antibiotic resistance evolve

In this video, a giant petri dish exposes the evolutionary dynamics behind antibiotic resistance.

During the experiment, E. coli evolved resistance to antibiotics as they grew across a giant petri dish coated with increasing concentrations of drugs. At the end of the experiment, the bacteria near the center of the plate could withstand a dose of antibiotics 1,000 times higher than that tolerated by the starting bacteria.

Caltech Researchers Link Parkinson’s Disease to Gut Bacteria

Parkinson’s disease joins a long list of medical conditions in which a connection has been shown with the microbiome of the gut. Notably, therefore, in related research, scientific studies have demonstrated positive effects for probiotic supplements in cancer, infections, diarrhea, inflammatory bowel disease, metabolic diseases, Alzheimer’s disease, and others. As further research becomes available, there can be little doubt that this list will continue to grow longer.

Big Pharma Spent Nearly $1 Billion to Lobby US

As this video describes, drug makers spent more than $880 million between 2006 and 2015 to fight U.S. government restrictions on lucrative opiate drugs. These drugs are extremely dangerous and are believed to have more addicted users than heroin. In 2015, 227 million prescriptions were handed out in the U.S. for them.

Calcium Channel Blockers Side Effects

Calcium channel blocking drugs are widely used for the management of high blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, and other heart conditions. This video summarizes some of their common side effects, such as headaches; increased or decreased heart rate; fluid buildup in the legs; dizziness; constipation; and others. Further information about the side effects of drugs can be found on the sideeffectsuk.co.uk website.

In addition to these side effects, a study conducted by researchers at the Dr. Rath Research Institute has shown that calcium channel blockers also impede the entry of vitamin C into cells. Vitamin C is an essential nutrient for the production of collagen, the key stability molecule for the artery walls and the connective tissue in general. Published in the American Journal of Cardiovascular Disease in 2016, this important finding explains the reason behind the increased risk of heart disease, breast cancer, and gum problems that have been reported in clinical studies testing these drugs.
