Risks of Dental X-Rays and CT Scans

Each year, a whopping 72 million CT scans are performed in the United States. According to the U.S. National Cancer Institute, these scans could account for as many as 29,000 cancers. To make matters worse, as many as 44 percent of them have been determined to be medically unnecessary. As this video shows, in some cases the risks of X-rays and CT scans may outweigh the benefits.
