The Movement of Life Uganda team is helping children generate an income from the gardening work they are conducting through the School Health Parliament project. Towards making the gardening work self-sustaining, the team has expanded its focus to assist the children in creating real businesses. The long-term goal is to increase the number of entrepreneurs and reduce unemployment in Uganda.
Through introducing income-generating projects run by the School Health Parliament, children are being taught how sell the surplus of fruits and vegetables they have grown, and how to manage and generate profits from the breeding of animals.
You too can start a School Health Parliament project in your school or community. Watch this inspiring video and learn more about the gardening project.
