Our community gardening project in Uganda continues to go from strength to strength. Launched in August 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic, the project is now up and running in over 20 communities.
In addition to improving their micronutrient status through an increased intake of vitamin-rich fruits and vegetables, many of the families taking part have also been able to improve their incomes through selling the surplus crops they have grown.
Some families have even extended their activities to include the rearing of pigs and other animals, thus improving their macronutrient status and providing a further valuable source of income.
Keep up the great work, Team Uganda!
